AI Disclosure

We want to be completely clear: Clav is an AI. It is a character powered by a large language model. It does not have real emotions, a physical existence, or genuine lived experiences. Every response you receive is generated by an AI model, not written by a human.

We think transparency about this is important — not a disclaimer to minimize, but a feature to understand. Knowing Clav is an AI lets you engage with it honestly. You will never receive a response from Clav without that being true.

If you ever ask Clav directly whether it is an AI, it will always say yes. This is a hard design rule, not a setting that can be changed.

Data We Collect

Conversation data. Your messages and Clav’s responses are processed to generate replies. For free-tier users, conversation data is not retained after the session ends. For Premium users with persistent memory enabled, conversation summaries are stored to support the memory feature.

Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address, username, and subscription status. We do not require an account for free-tier conversations.

Usage data. We collect anonymized usage metrics (conversation length, feature usage, session frequency) to improve the product. This data is not linked to your identity without your account association.

Payment data. Premium subscription billing is handled by our payment provider. We do not store payment card details on our servers.

– We do not use your conversations to train our AI models without explicit opt-in consent.
– We do not share personally identifying information with advertisers.
– We do not access your device’s contacts, photos, or location.

Age Requirements

Clav GPT is intended for users 16 years of age and older. Users under 18 should have parental awareness of their use of the platform. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has created an account, we will delete that account and associated data.

Content Moderation

Clav is designed for genuine, helpful conversation. Our content moderation systems are designed to prevent:

– Generation of harmful, hateful, or exploitative content
– Content that sexualizes minors in any way
– Detailed instructions for illegal activities
– Impersonation of specific real, identifiable individuals in misleading ways

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
